Jennifer Curtin has a BS in Fine Art and has been involved with many areas of art, from teaching drawing and art history to cloth doll design, printmaking, papermaking, typography and graphic design. Carving is a recent exploration in art that began with making a flock of sheep, a dog and handler for a herding trainer to use as a visual aid.
Jennifer has 2 Australian Cattle Dogs. She has a small farm with Border Leicester sheep, Swiss Toggenburg goats and Rouen ducks. Her 3 year old blue ACD Indigo works the stock and has become very useful.

“I try to integrate art into my lifestyle. The farm, stock and dogs serve as subject matter for carving and other art. Observing and taking part in herding, watching the interaction between dog and stock has added dimension to what I do that is invaluable.”

Jennifer writes: "Working dogs fascinate me, especially dogs that do one of the oldest jobs of all -- herding. God designed this animal as a helper and being able to share in its work is an almost spiritual experience."
